People follow a plant based diet for a wide array of reasons. Some who identify as Vegans eat a completely plant based diet to avoid causing harm to animals. People who follow a Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) diet tend to make their choices based on health and longevity. There are also many people throughout the world who choose to incorporate more plant based foods and less animal products as a choice to improve their health and their impact on the earth but also prefer to have the choices of an omnivore diet for many reasons. Some people identify with the term Flexitarian when they primarily choose plant based but occasionally include animal products. Each step, no matter how far you are on your unique journey, is one step closer to better health, a better planet and a kinder community.
